Siraj Center - Programs & Travels

Siraj has been working through various programs that aim to help and empower the local communities and link them with the world

Youth Exchange Program
Siraj, encourages Youth Exchange programs with other youth from all over the world. The Youth exchange programs is divided for 2 sections, the high school students and university students. This program will help creating a personal interaction in between youth from all over the world and the Palestinian and Holy Land Youth. At this time, youth of the world need to have a personal dialogue that will help them in their future to work for Peace and Justice.

Sister ship programs
Siraj, aims to create sister ship programs that will create realy cooperation among Palestinian organizations with organizations from all over the world like sister Church programs, High School, and Youth centers. Through its wide connection with the local communities in the Holy Land, Siraj will help creating such programs and facilitating it until it runs by its own.

Seminars Itinerary
Theology Seminars:
This program will function three times a year and it could be arranged through anytime during the year also. The program aims to discuss various theological issues like How to read to the Old Testament from a local Christian perspective? Peace and Justice in Theology? Besides it aims to discuss inter-religious issues like, inter-religious and ecumenical dialogues. Besides, it aims to introduce participants to the culture of the Bible through tours and visits in addition for a spiritual pilgrimage.

Christian programs
Pilgrimages to the Holy Land that include visiting all of the Holy sites and meet the living stones of the Holy Land. The Christian programs would include, worship with local churches, accommodation and meals with local families and meeting with grassroots organizations and heads of Churches.

Hiking and cultural programs
This program is designed for international participants to meet with the Geography, culture, landscape and the people of the Holy Land. Participants can walk for few days, from village to desert, walk through olive trees, meet with locals, eat in people's homes and encounter the real culture that exist for thousands of year. Besides meeting the people lifestyle, encounter the landscape where all of the biblical history lies and where conflicts started.

Local Families Hosting programs
Siraj is able to arrange short and long term accommodation with local families. Such arrangements will enrich the experience of the International travelers and the local families too. When a family host a tourist in their home, one can live the life of the family, interact, learn some of the language and participate in the daily life of the family. Beside, the host family will be compensated with some money that will help them for the long run. Siraj is able to make such arrangements for tour groups and for individuals.

Fact finding programs
This programs aims to introduce the international participants to the Palestinian/ Israeli conflict by touring areas of conflict and meeting with people who are directly affected, taking into consideration safety measures. Besides, meeting with Palestinian and Israeli groups including Peace activists from both sides. The program also includes meeting with Palestinian and Israeli officials and grassroots organizations.

Interfaith programs
Interfaith programs aims to create better understanding and people with different faith backgrounds but meeting with Palestinian and Israeli faith based groups and Peace activists. In addition help to reach common goals that participants can reach out together in order to work together for Peace and Justice.
