How can we make a positive contribution to the peace process?

It is hard to sit back and watch the Israeli Palestinian conflict go on and feel like there is no real way to make a positive contribution towards peace. There are many way to get involved, whether it is becoming an activist, forming a dialogue group or researching ideas for peace.

One area which we tend to forget about is the economic component to the conflict. The poverty and widespread unemployment in the region exacerbates an already contentious issue. Understanding that economic developmen… Continue

Thanks for your friendship invitation, Alexi; glad to accept. Do you ever travel in your area to speak about Lend for Peace? (By the way, great name!) If so, you might want to try the Network of Spiritual Progressives chapter in Old Lyme (affiliated with Tikkun Magazine). If you'd like contact information, let me know by email:

I agree Oliver. It is interesting that honest attempts at communication are often greeted in places like this with jeers and patronising and derogatory presumptions about the perceived other's "real" intentions.

Yes, Paul, communication is crucial indeed. "Simplistic slogans" won't help in the long term, that's clear. But honest and clear communication requires courageousness on all sides. Slogans are, in my view, often (as you also imply above) an 'indiv...
