My personal story:
An photographer, and an artist, am continual exploring photography as a means of communication, and a vehicle for understanding.

I recently decided to invest myself into seriously combining my spiritual interests with my day to day life... After studying and developing the constitution and discipline within my own mind and heart, to make working towards peace using my own skills and energies towards a collaborative uplifted path a reality.
Why I want peace:
I realized that I could do something, I realized I was not helpless, I could always start, with MYself, here, now.....

I think cultivating one's own mind is a good first step towards being able to help others......
Interests and activities:
learning / reading / translating into creative actual change / photography / art / activism / meditation / hiking / camping
Something you didn't know about me:
everything
How I found mepeace.org:
i am a member of PDN, and peacemakersinstitute.org.... was recently inspired by: http://edenorg.com/, working w/ Kids With Cameras, a non-profit group who produced a documentary film called, "Born Into Brothel's" in NYC.
What I want to achieve here:
I am looking for active and productive connections, to learn from others stories, and to share my own ideas...... I was inspired by having the opportunity to be involved with "Kids with Cameras", who produced the documentary film "Born Into Brothels", and I was inspired, moved .... to actualize my own abilities into active change through creating and actualizing uplifted and spiritual awareness into everyday life in order to facilitate a more peaceful mind therefore a more peaceful world..... I am very interested in exploring religions, families, and cultural ideas and differences as the basis for a functioning and peaceful society, by documenting, illustrating and then sharing, through the visual arts as a vehicle for the exchange of ideas.... the hope, to have more understanding of another persons experiences as compared to our own, in order to greater increase the attribute of compassion as a affect due to insightful, and wise, heartfelt understanding... I am a practicing learning explorative spiritually inclined, photographer and artist. I am interested in meeting people interested in collaboration / artistic / creative / uplifted..... possibilities / projects...

I am currently working on publishing a book of, "unconventional portraits of unconventional spirituality", and looking for subject's.

I am also looking to connect with people for an arts program I am in the process of organizing, connecting children, across the globe through self expression via the creative outlet of photography. Children are given cameras and instruction, they will explore their community, friends, family and day to day lives through photography.
The children will be the PEN-PAL class to another group of children in another country. sharing photographs and their lives with other children across the world. The goal is to inspire and create self awareness, and through understanding and connection with others, the children will develop the important sense of tolerance, therefore laying seeds of compassion, which goes towards a

PEACEFUL

potential.

I was also inspired by the people at: http://edenorg.com/.......

Yes
responsibility

"Sometimes religion becomes yet another source for more division and sometimes open conflict. Because of that situation, I feel the different religious traditions have a great responsibility to provide peace of mind and a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood among humanity"

I don't know if you remember Mat3am Abu Rami, but I used to watch it when I was in the seventh grade. It brings a smile to my face whenever I remember it.

There are indeed too many armchair know-it-alls. They're probably the same ones who avoided military service during the Vietnam War. We have our share of those here in Jordan, too.

This is a work in progress group that is a peace for Palestine group, to help build a strong Palestinian camp internationally. The Israelis have Gush Shalom. We need to network with them and other groups. We have to be another voice.
