- My personal story:
- I am inspired to work for peace by the personal stories of Palestinians and Israelis whom I know. Our community on mepeace.org inspires me. I was born in New York in 1976, grew up in Israel and in California. A lot of time in Yeshiva. My views used to be right wing. When I was twenty I met a Palestinian for the first time. We were students at the London School of Economics. I decided to learn about the conflict. I thought I knew a lot until I arrived in Israel in 2004. I was stunned. I knew little. I am learning a little more every day and you teach me a great deal on this platform. I wanted to do something for peace and created mepeace for Palestinians and Israelis and others to connect and work together.
- Why I want peace:
- I am an eternal optimist! I want peace so that people can live fully, and enjoy their life. I want peace so there will be joy and not mourning. I want peace so we can know one another...
- Interests and activities:
- Internet, peace, the present... I love chess, music. I love people.
- Something you didn't know about me:
- I have a twin brother who lives in the United Sates.
- How I found mepeace.org:
- I founded mepeace.org. I wanted a place where I could meet people like you. I chose the name because it combines me + peace - enabling peacemakers to express themselves. It is also short for Middle East peace.
- What I want to achieve here:
- I want mepeace.org to serve as a platform for peacemakers, a place where people can meet the other side and know them. I want you to enjoy using this platform. I want it to be useful to you.

My apologies. The background is that I was in Beit Jalla last weekend at the Global Village Event last week. I met Eden. He, in being helpful, suggested that I join up right away. Since I didn't have my own picture at hand, he suggested that we use his for the time being. I just got back from Israel last night and I am spending this morning apologizing. I hope that the problem will be solved today.

Update from Washington DC's J Street conference
I write to you from the J Street conference in Washington DC, where MEPEACE is a participating organization.
As Ha'aretz reports, this event has more than 1500 "peace activists, politicians, diplomats, lobbyists, male and female rabbis, political advisers, artists, students and journalists". Americans are coming together to support a two-state solution of Israel and Palestine.

On way to Washington after super 'Peace Talks' in New York
Update: 'Peace Talks' in New York on Sunday was fantastic! Good people came to support us. We discussed having a 'culture of peace', starting a New York chapter for MEPEACE, and supporting Palestinians and Israelis on the ground. Also this weekend I spoke about MEPEACE at Kehillat Romemu, a Jewish community of peacemakers sharing and supporting our goals.
