Profile Information

My personal story:
I am inspired to work for peace by the personal stories of Palestinians and Israelis whom I know. Our community on mepeace.org inspires me. I was born in New York in 1976, grew up in Israel and in California. My views used to be right wing. When I was twenty I met a Palestinian for the first time. We were students at the London School of Economics. I decided to learn about the conflict. I thought I knew a lot until I arrived in Israel in 2004. I was stunned. I knew little. I am learning a little more every day and learn a great deal from you on this platform. I studied web design and and customized this web platform for us to connect and work together for peace.
Why I want peace:
I am an eternal optimist! I want peace so that people can live fully, and enjoy their life. I want peace so there will be joy and not mourning. I want peace so we can know one another...
Interests and activities:
Internet, peace, the present... I love chess, music. I love people.
Something you didn't know about me:
I have a twin brother.
Favorite website:
http://mepeace.org
How I found mepeace.org:
I founded mepeace.org when I wanted a place where I could meet people like you. Middle East peace begins with each of us.
What I want to achieve here:
I want mepeace.org to serve as a platform for peacemakers, a place where we can meet each other. I want you to enjoy using this platform and find it useful.
Do you promise to respect others and our guidelines and not spam?
Yes

Shalom Eyal....

I recently posted this blog about a petition on facebook which asks news outlets to deliver more positive and solution-focused news: http://www.mepeace.org/profiles/blogs/petition-for-more-positive

Could you share this blog in a message to all your members? It would be really helpful.

I hope all is well with you and thank you for all the good work you and your team are doing...

In Unity,
Yaron

Dear Eyal - I cant believe I found this site! I was looking for something like this for a long time.
I always wanted to discuss Peace in an optimistic way, and see what others are doing, I am really passionate about this and I am so happy to find a site where I can see that others are also passionate.
Congratulations for your achievement. Thanks, Anat

Eyal Raviv,
I want peace as bad as you, however the reality of the present situation tells us it will take more time. For example, the Palestinians have not proved to the world that they are ready for a country. As Golda Meir said they must learn to respect themselves before any peace can be realized. I hope Iran gets bombed as soon as possible as they are a threat to the whole Middle East. Peace to all.

MEPEACE in the Media - Interview with RTM.ba

Today's Online Peace Talks: http://www.mepeace.org/events/online-peace-talks-august-29.

On a 'listening tour' of the Balkans to benefit the Middle East, I described MEPEACE to RTM Online, a leading media network in Bosnia and Hercegovina. Thanks to Adnan Hasic, mepeace.org peacemaker, for setting up this interview and hosting me in Mostar.

Comments and thoughts welcome.

Update on MJC - Muslim Jewish Conference

I post this update in Zagreb, in between Ljubljana and Sarajevo, on a listening tour for practical lessons that can be applied in the Middle East. Ramadan Kareem.

This is an update about the first annual Muslim Jewish
Conference in Vienna - a gathering of young professionals from 25 countries. This was a powerful experience for me, from making new friends to learning about myself Thank you to all who support me as I travel. You make it possible for me to learn and grow.
