Nonlinear Leadership Development Program For Leaders in Palestine
• Background
Holy Land Trust was founded in 1998 with the mission to “strengthen the Palestinian community for the future;” To empowering the Palestinian community in developing and implementing a vision for the future where nonviolence is seen both as a means to ending the Israeli occupation and as the goal in building communities where peaceful coexistence based on equality are the norms of how people relate to each other.
This mission is not a political one. HLT seeks to bring people back to the essence of being Palestinian and transcend the current situation by unifying the Palestinian voice and creating a new momentum where every single Palestinian will be actively participating in determining their future, the future of their community, their nation and how it relates to others.
To achieve this, HLT has initiated the Making Impossible Possible Campaign (MIPC); a campaign that seeks to refocus the tremendous power that lies within the Palestinian community to not be used and abused in achieving no –even negative and fatal—results but to be used in a creating a vision and a strategy that encompasses the Palestinian people as a whole.
As a first step in this campaign, HLT is launching a Nonlinear Leadership Development Program (LDP). The purpose of the LDP: To provide Palestinian leaders with the tools that help them make the impossible possible at the level of their personal life, their work, community, and for their country.
What is the Nonlinear Leadership Development Program?
It is a deep personal development program to develop your inner skills of leadership in your personal life, your professional life, in your community, and your country.
It is an opportunity to explore nonlinear thinking, get access to the power of language and accomplish nonlinear breakthrough results.
What will you learn?
You will learn to distinguish powerful language tools that allow you to:
- Deal effectively with issues and problems on the personal, professional, community and national levels.
- Build relationships of mutual trust and respect
- Deal effectively with what’s happening here and now
- Build powerful networks to support you in the future
- Create a bold future which is informed by, and honours the past, but is independent from the past
- Accomplish breakthrough results
- Have effective, purposeful meetings which support you in delivering on intended results
- Understand the power and importance of creating and managing context
What will you accomplish?
- You will get access to powerful action and result oriented language.
- You will get access to nonlinear control.
- You will unlock yourself from the constraints of the past.
- You will be able to distinguish between mechanical linear processes and processes which have a nonlinear dynamic
- You will create a future for yourself, family and community that will be inspiring and transforming
- You will accomplish nonlinear results in different dimensions
- You will build growing dynamic networks of self organising communities which give voice to making the impossible possible.
- You will engage in the phenomena of nonlinearity, self organisation, and emergence
- You will ask yourself: “What allows for self responsibility?”
- You will get clear on decision making
What is the learning method used?
The style used is not the style of a teacher conveying conceptual knowledge. There are no answers, tips, or recipes.
The method used is “distinction based learning.” It engages you in a thinking enquiry designed to give you new eyes by raising your awareness.
We work as “coaches”, committed to help you see for yourself what it will take to accomplish breakthrough results.
Who should participate?
Those who choose to engage in this are individuals who refuse to remain content, silent and submissive, but are committed to giving their voice to key breakthrough projects which will “make the impossible possible” translating their united voice into committed action. Individuals who are ready to transform the living conditions of ordinary Palestinians and mobilising the public to fully engage in the decision-making process, and create the momentum that establishes the conditions necessary for a just and durable peace to emerge at the community and regional levels.
We are seeking young leaders who want to have a breakthrough in their lives; leaders who are already successful but want to go beyond their success; men and women who not only want to serve their own aspirations but are committed to building their country; leaders who are open and curious to learn; individuals who are ready to see reality in themselves and the world with new eyes, and finally we are seeking people representing different walks of life; social, public, business, politics, academic, arts, media, religion, etc.
