Does anyone know an Arab Israeli coexistence organization, which focus more on meetings, activities and discussion between Israelis and 'Arab Israelis' (if that is the correct term to use).
I was looking for such organization, I could find only few on the Web, and got Zero answer when I approached them.
Thanks , I will look for the link.
In more details what I was looking for is a group that improve the dialog between the two groups by day to day activities.
I came back to Israel, as I wrote in my profile, after 7 years abroad, being away definitely changed my perspective about what is going on over here, and being away in Asia taught me how much tolerance is important.
Since I came back I became active in a group called combatants for peace (all are invited) which is unique in the sense that palestinians and Israels who were involved in the conflict, decided to take non violent role. But while still being active in this group, and I will keep doing it, I realized how deep is the gap between the Arabs and the Jews who live within Israel. I live now in Kfar Saba, I used to live in Jerusalem. There are Arab villages all around us, we see Arabs in malls and clinics and everywhere, but yet it is (at least that is how I feel) like two groups who live one beside the other, with no real interaction between them. And that is the reason for me to look for such activity, I believe that by creating or being active in such group we and the immediate circle around us (friends and families) will be also exposed and slowly it will become a reality.
Roni, it looks you have enough energy to start own group.. take the first action and do a proper initiative in Kfr Saba ..
My feeling that formal politics made human relationships very complicated and put many boarders in between. We have to develop self-organised mechanism toward new type of honest relationships. We do not to be "something" (Jew, Muslims, "Humanistic Zionist", ..) or organized formally to that. We just to be, what we ARE.
you remind me on one story .. I moved once to a small town where some minorities (refugees) lived in deep fragmentation without voice, protection or well .. they was threaten by administrations etc. I've decided to work with them to build a group for "us" .. As good language speaker and "educated Engineer" I was helping to get recognitions by the authorities.. it helped.

Hi Roni,
I'll be happy to join you in building and leading a mixed group of Jews and Arabs (Israeli Palestinians) in Ha-Sharon. I used to be active (still am, but less) in a group like that, with people from around Wadi Ara and Tivon, including also Palestinians from Barta'ah and from other places in the Occupied territories (mainly from around Jenin).
I have a lot of experience leading listening circles of various types (men, Jews and Arabs etc.) For several years I led classes in Kalkilya (co-counseling class).
For some reason, what we call peace makers or activists, are usualy computer laymen, most of the organizations have a site, but when you send them email or a message you are seldom answered.
I did send email also to Abraham fund, I did leave a message for Misaa, I think I even exchanged emails with her, but nothing came out of it.
This forum (mepeace) is the first place I see people with same mind set also communicate well on Web, even in combatants for peace, where I am active, it is not going well over the Web, and this true also for similar organizations, so there is some correlation, don't you think so?
Maybe when you put your heart and head for peace, nothing is left for the Web (I was just joking of course)
