I'm struggling this week. Am off to the Michigan Pax Christi conference tomorrow and wondering why. Does it make a difference? Will what I learn there have an audience anywhere (do I have an audience)? The crumb that I got earlier this week that pops up is what I want to drop here for anyone else that is needing crumbs today:
We do what we do and speak out when we can, not to change the world, but so that the world does not change us.
This is enough for me now to keep on.
I wish I could give attribution -- I paraphrased it from someone who I'm pretty certain did the same, so this is at least a few generations from whoever originated the idea. But, I'll bet they wouldn't mind that the message gives hope even if whoever said it doesn't get "credit".
