I came to Israel over 50 years ago with my spouse and 3 chidlren to raise them in a Jewish country. It took many years and much research to realize that the type of country that Israel evolved into was the worst things that has happened to Jews.
Why I want peace:
That's an odd question. Why shouldn't I want peace? The question should be 'what price are you willing to pay,' and my response is that peace for Israel-Palestine means justice for all(including right of return for refugees), security for all, freedom of movement for all, and basically a single democratic state in all of historic Palestine in which all citizens have equal rights.
Birthday:
March 7, 1932
Interests and activities:
Full time activist against the occupation of Palestinians and Palestine
Something you didn't know about me:
I have 8 grandchildren
How I found mepeace.org:
I was told about it
What I want to achieve here:
to inform about events and occurrences in Israel-Palestine that are usually not conveyed by the commercial media, or if they are, then I might have a different take on it.

You wrote in your personal story above "that the type of country that Israel evolved into was the worst things that has happened to Jews. "
That puzzles me. I'd have thought that regardless of one's politics or background, most people who walk with both feet on the ground would consider The Shoah to be the "the worst things that has happened to Jews."
I really wonder why you think "that the type of country that Israel evolved into was the worst things that has happened to Jews. "
Hi Dorothy,
Nice to meet you here on mepeace.
I look forward to reading your ideas about how to get to a single truly democratic state for all in Israel/Palestine (an idea that does not scare me at all).

Hi Dorothy, welcome here on mepeace. It's nice to have you here.
I'm sharing my opinions with you. Especially the one: that is really not fair, that Israel decides who can visit the palestinian peoples. I thought they control the boarders as a reason that no weapon can come in to the country. So when we like to visit Israel and Palestine, and we don't have any weapons with us, they should let us in.
