When I was 18, all things were black or white. Now my hair is grey, I know that wasn't right.

Profile

Hometown:
Sydney, Australia
Relationship Status:
Single
My personal story:
I am (still) trying to work out what I'll really do/be when I finally grow up. Worked in IT most of my life.

Feel the need to work with people rather than things. Am now active in SULHAoz. The main YahooGroup for that is at http://tinyurl.com/3yb37o, and the related FaceBook group is at http://tinyurl.com/ywa2nt.

The international SULHA FaceBook group is http://tinyurl.com/26p9xn, and you can watch videos of the international, three-day SULHA festivals on YouTube at http://tinyurl.com/29enop

So far my attempts to promote www.mepeace.org have not been spectacularly successful. :-(
Why I want peace:
Seems like a good idea. :-)
Birthday:
August 1
Interests and activities:
Drinking good espresso coffee, talking with people, playing with computers, being a devil's advocate... After all, I am genetically and neurotically Jewish.
Something you didn't know about me:
Wouldn't you like to know? :-) To begin with, I must acknowledge that I am bigoted.
How I found mepeace.org:
Ami Isseroff of http://www.mideastweb.org/
What I want to achieve here:
I'd like to meet and possibly work with a bunch of people who actually LISTEN to the other.

Killer's welcome has shown Hezbollah's true colours IT is easy to conclude that Israel has paid a diabolical price to honour the Jewish state's unbreakable promise to its citizens that soldiers will never be left stranded on foreign soil, even in death. The return of prisoners to the Iran-backed group, Hezbollah, in exchange for the corpses of two young Israeli soldiers who were kidnapped on Israeli soil off… Continue

Just noticed the photo above taken in Chtoura - my mother's village is just down the road, towards the Syrian border! Nice synchronicity :o)

actually I have lived there for 13 years ... I am not sure that the ability to screen out ugliness is one of their best qualities! It prevents them from improving their environment ...

Dear Paul,

I was born in Egypt, and always had Arab friends. I think that "an enemy" is one whose story you have not heard. This is why I founded IFLAC PAVES PEACE - www.iflac.com - THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM FOR THE LITERATURE AND CULTURE OF PEACE - to create Bridges of Peace, understanding and respect, between nations, between Jews and Arabs, and between Israelis and Palestinians. I have dedicated my life to Peace between Israel and our neighbors,
through my research on CONFLICT RESOLUTION, LITERATURE, STORIES, POETRY and SONGS.
You are invited to visit some of my peace work at www.iflac.com/ada and to join us at IFLAC too, where we are all MEPEACE. Salamat - Shalom, Ada Aharoni
